In the fall of 2009, local road construction involved the pulverization, reshaping and asphalt repaving of Franklin and Hollweg Streets. Road drainage was improved by the cleaning of ditches and culvert, and replacement of damaged driveway culverts. In addition to the repaving concrete curbing and sidewalk ramps were installed at the Franklin and Hollweg intersection for improved pavement preservation and better pedestrian accessibility.
