REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING

President Wolak called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. All rose for Pledge of Allegiance. Present at roll call: Shall, Clark, Coenen, Wolak, Ballard, Cooper, and Boelke. Also present: Clerk Poulos and Treasurer Adair.

1.     CONSENT AGENDA
MOTION by Ballard, seconded by Cooper, to approve the consent agenda as presented.
  1. Approval of RCM Minutes of 10/26/15 approved as presented.
  2. Payment of Bills totaling $39,766.57 approved for payment as follows:
 
1. General Fund $ 5,764.68
2. Water Fund $ 15,301.49
3. Sewer Plant Fund $ 15,730.83

2. OLD BUSINESS
 
A. TIETZ/PROSPECT BRIDGE PROJECT UPDATE
Street Administrator Ballard stated that the project is virtually completed, he believes there are weight signs that still need to be placed and he, the Engineers, and Mr. Moegle will be meeting on Wednesday to discuss the options for the guardrail issue.
 
 
B. MAIN STREET PRJECT UPDATE
Street Administrator Ballard informed Council that he has left a voicemail for Bob DeFrain from HRC asking for dates certain for completion, water service connection refund, and the water leakage issues that are happening for the second time. He stated that Mr. DeFrain answered him in an email stating that he has talked to the Contractor and is waiting for him to provide a schedule and he will check on the status of the water services.
 
He also informed Council that he spoke with Rocky at the Drain Commission regarding the letter (on file) he sent to Anthony Morrocco, Macomb County Drain Commissioner, regarding the propose West Main Street project scheduled for 2017, and included asking the Drain Commission to consider inspecting, upgrading or reconstructing the Woodbeck Drain Culvert prior to the Village’s scheduled project. He stated that as it is a County Drain he requested the County inform the Village how to proceed, which was not accomplished with this phone call. President Wolak stated they he and Ballard should meet with the Macomb County Public Works and discuss in person.
