SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
MONDAY, JANUARY 8, 2009

Pres. Stork called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. All rose for Pledge of Allegiance. Present at roll call: Stork, Stirrett, Sutherland, Cooper, Clark, Coenen. Absent: Wolak. Also present: Clerk Poulos, Treasurer Adair.

MOTION by Cooper, seconded by Coenen, to approve agenda as presented.

GENERAL BUSINESS
1. UTILITY BILLING PROGRAM
Treasurer Adair explained to Council that she, Mary Nelson and most recently President Stork have researched several options for a new utility billing program. Treasurer Adair stated that she feels the most desirable program is BS&A. She explained that it is the most cost effective program that she researched. She explained that it is comparable to the current tax and building programs, which are BS&A, it is auditor recommended and it is compatible with all of the Village current water meters. Training can start as early as Monday and the data conversion can be easily done from the tax program.
MOTION by Stirrett, seconded by Sutherland, to allow the purchase of a new utility billing software from BS&A for a cost not to exceed $4,500.00.
