CITIZEN COMMENT

Monica Job asked if Council is paid for this meeting, to which President Ballard replies no. Ben Delecke stated that this is the first meeting he has attended regarding streets. He asked which streets were being discussed and inquired as to when the Main Street Bridge repairs would begin. Street Administrator Stork replied that the streets up for discussion are Franklin, Hollweg, not Torrey Street. She also stated that the contract for the bridge would be signed tonight but there is not start or completion date set.

GENERAL BUSINESS

1. WORKSHOP TO DISCUSS THE 2007/2008 ROAD PROJECT

President Ballard and Street Administrator Stork have both submitted proposals for Councils consideration to repair one or all of Franklin and Hollweg Streets. President Ballard’s submission includes Franklin Street only from the dead end to Torrey Street and would only use prior year funds. Trustee Stork’s submissions include three proposals which involve bonding options for two. There is a no-bond option, a ten-year bond option, and a ten-year accelerated bond option with each bonding option allowing for Franklin and Hollweg Street repairs, although Colonial Street was also added during the discussion. Each proposal (on file) was discussed thoroughly and at length with Council agreeing to bring this item back to the next Regular Council meeting to decide whether they wish to do only one or three streets with or without bonding options.

No further business.

Meeting adjourned at 9:02 p.m.
